To ensure accurate and effective execution of CFIA recall notices. |

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has the responsibility for determining
product recalls. All CCGD members
subscribe to CFIA’s web-based product recall system to ensure prompt and
accurate response to recall notices. |

Periodic reviews are held between CFIA and CCGD
to identify where process improvements can be made, based on recent recalls. |

Current Activities

CCGD’s Food Recall Manual has been updated to provide
members with best practices and the latest information on how to effectively manage
food recalls. |
