CCGD’s Supply Chain agenda the Association is constantly
seeking opportunities to profile new ideas that may benefit
member businesses.
In partnership with IBM, CCGD has developed the a quarterly
newsletter called Fresh Insights.
The newsletter will
profile key developments in retail and supply chain areas
and provide an early warning for members on emerging
opportunities as well as provide a regular update on issues
being managed by CCGD.

The Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors (CCGD) Atlantic
office initiated a study to determine Emerging
Consumer Demand for Premium Foods and Beverages in Canada.
The study was conducted by Ipsos Reid and funded in part by
Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada through the Advancing
Canadian Agriculture & Agri-Food Program.
The project consisted of a study on consumers’ needs for
premium food and beverage products. The primary benefit of
the project is a comprehensive look at consumer drivers in
the area of premium foods and beverages, which will serve as
an initial base for future propriety research. |

CODE OF PRACTICE – SCANNER PRICE ACCURACY VOLUNTARY CODE |

The grocery retail industry is focused on the accuracy of
scanned pricing to our consumers. We
believe that the industry can provide the best service to the consumer through
the Scanner Price Accuracy Voluntary Code established in 2002 which is endorsed
by the Competition Bureau and supported by the members of the Canadian Council
of Grocery Distributors (CCGD), Retail Council of Canada (RCC), Canadian
Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) and the Canadian Association of Chain
Drug Stores (CACDS).
